Festival identity

Concept project

Offbeat

An expressive visual identity for an independent music and arts festival, shaped by bold type, repetition and unexpected colour.

Role

The brief

Develop a festival identity that captures the energy of live music and visual arts while staying legible across different formats. The concept needed to work equally well on a street poster, an admission ticket and a large venue banner.

The approach

I built the identity around a heavy lowercase wordmark, cropped letterforms and concentric oval graphics. Acid yellow and lavender create contrast against black, while recurring type treatments link the posters, tickets, wristbands and environmental banner.

The outcome

The resulting concept carries a consistent festival voice from printed promotion to physical event materials. Changes in scale and composition keep each application distinct while preserving the same typographic and graphic foundation.

Project scope

One rhythm, across every festival touchpoint.
